Oliver is a freelance lighting designer working across theatre, opera and dance.

His work focuses on the expressive and atmospheric potential of light, shaping visual environments that support the rhythm and storytelling of performance.

Upcoming productions include The Jungle Book at the National Theatre and Hey Fever in the West Wend.

Recent productions: The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind for the Royal Shakespeare Company, and Pinocchio for the National Ballet of Canada. His work has also been seen at leading venues including the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Donmar Warehouse and English National Opera.

Oliver was nominated for a Profile Award for Dear Octopus, a WhatsonStage Award for Best Lighting Design for My City at the Almeida Theatre, and for Best Design at the UK Theatre Awards for ’Tis Pity She’s a Whore at West Yorkshire Playhouse.
